CHINA Mobile Chairman Wang Jianzhou has refused to reveal details about talks with Apple regarding introducing the iPhone in China as both companies had signed a confidentiality agreement.
But Wang's statement at press conference announcing China Mobile's first-half financial statement yesterday indicated talks between two companies were on track, xinmin.cn reported today.
Previous reports said Apple had changed its iPhone policy in some Asian countries and was no longer demanding a share of local telecom operators’ fees
Wang revealed yesterday that China Mobile was to introduce new telecommunication technology and cooperate with global telecom operators to develop the 3G network and prepare for the 4G network.
